Jinjie Jack Wang is a New York City-based freelance cinematographer with a multidisciplinary creative practice.
Working across narrative film, documentary, commercial, and independent projects, Jack approaches cinematography as more than image-making. For him, the camera is a way to observe people, emotion, movement, and atmosphere. His work is driven by a strong interest in visual storytelling, natural light, composition, and the quiet details that reveal a subject’s inner world.
Beyond motion pictures, Jack is also an avid photographer with experience in both analog and digital formats. Photography remains an important part of his creative process, allowing him to study texture, timing, color, and the relationship between stillness and memory.
Alongside his work behind the camera, Jack is also an amateur designer with a strong eye for aesthetics, function, and detail. He is interested in how design can be both visually thoughtful and practical.
Across film, photography, and design, Jack is drawn to work that feels intentional, atmospheric, and quietly alive.
